About Joan

 

After graduating from University, I began working as a dental assistant. This was the start of my career in the dental profession, and the basis for my understanding of it.

While I enjoyed my experience as a dental assistant, it was never meant to be a long term career path.  While searching for a greater challenge I pursued a position as a Sales Representative with Healthco Dental and was hired in 1990. My hands-on experience with equipment and supplies was invaluable in this role, and I was able to provide excellent support to my clients as well as learn many of the things that contributed to the success of a dental practice. I reached the Million Dollar Club in my second year of sales.

In 1993 I was recruited into the role of Sales Manager for Canadian Dental Supply, a National firm. I used my experience to coach my employees to success by identifying their clients needs and helping their dentists overcome the challenges that they faced.

In 1999 I launched Van Paridon Consulting to share my knowledge directly with dentists. I provide my clients with honest, unbiased advice based on my real world experiences. I dont preach to my clients, I work with them to uncover the challenges in their practice and collaborate on solutions. I am a straight forward person whose primary goal is to find solutions that work for you.

While establishing my consulting business I established myself as an independent agent with Sinclair Dental, maintaining a long-term relationship with a small, select group of dentists. These relationships keep me at the forefront of new technologies, products, and practice management solutions, increasing my value to all of my clients.
As my success in evaluations and mediation has evolved I no longer pursue new sales accounts accepting only referrals from existing clients.

I was born and raised in the lower mainland. When I am not busy helping dentists succeed I like to get outside and enjoy the beautiful area that we live in with my family and friends.
