Meet Joan Van
Paridon
In 1989 Joan began working
for Healthco as a dental sales representative. Reaching the Million
Dollar Club was the goal and Joan was able to reach that in her
second year of sales. Her hard work paid off when in 1993 Joan was
recruited as sales manager for Canadian Dental Supply where she
oversaw a team of sales representatives. In addition to ensuring
that company targets were reached Joan was solely responsible for
the sales and marketing division of Canadian Dental’s western and
head office. During this time Joan endeavored to meet as many
dentists as possible to determine what they were looking for in a
dental supply company, as opposed to telling them what Canadian
Dental was going to do for them.
Her sincere interest in the
success of people in the dental profession won her the trust and
admiration of many dental professionals.
In 1999 Van Paridon
Consulting was born out of the growth and changes Joan was
witnessing in the dental profession. Using her years of experience
both in and out of the office she found herself offering a unique,
specialized niche to dental professionals. She offered dentists
something that was not currently available, truly independent
advice allowing them to bypass the struggles of time consuming
research and take quick advantage of innovative solutions designed
to minimize their stress.
As a autonomous individual, Joan is able to help dentists identify
areas of concern and solve them. Her style has been described as
"down to earth" and "practical". In a world of
increasing competition Joan continues to believe that superior
service, integrity, and a solution focused approach will allow
anyone to be successful.
Van Paridon Consulting's
success has grown from referrals of existing clients, a testimony
to Joan's abilities.
On a personal note, Joan grew
up in the lower mainland. Her parents were self employed in the
flower bulb business and this is where Joan learnt the values of
hard work, integrity, and the mind set of staying the course until
a solution is found.
Her two children are grown and living on their own so she now has a
little more time to pursue some other interests. She runs and
has completed the Vancouver Marathon, has competitively raced on a
sailboat, enjoys hiking, and hopes to find more time for
traveling.
